3 CHEERS! I wonder how on earth Dockers brand dared to say something so politically incorrect. But I love them for it!
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!
I like it, but I'm rather confused. Men already wear pants (though usually jeans, which aren't as nice as dockers). It's the women wearing pants that's the problem.
I think this is an instance where being a little politically incorrect is actually good for Dockers. Note how the message doesn't say anything about women not being able to wear pants as well. Dockers sells pants for women also and they probably had focus groups and did some math and figured the gain in profits of their men's khaki's as well as the slight loss in profits of the women's products would increase their overall profitability.
On the first line, it's implied that the men wore the pants exclusively. Furthermore, the failure of the men to "wear the pants" literally and figuratively led to women wearing the pants in the first place.
I love the references to the little old lady still on one side of the street. There is an elderly home here on campus and I see them crossing a semi busy street all the time. I may have to start wearing Dockers. Love the ad!
