A Small Letter To My Big Sister

Posted by Thom

Mi Hermana,

Your book's worse for wear,
But not worse for having worn.
Cause nothing lives
That's not a little torn.

A big sister, an inspiration
A patient love, and my aspirations.
I wouldn't be the writer I am today
Without the words you sowed in me,
Years ago and
All those yesterdays.

Still one of my favorite collections of poetry. I still love you with all my heart, all your love and council saved a very lost, very broken kid.

Bueno!

If you are a writer, I suppose there is a page where we can get a link to your books or sth?

Unless you define it as already being there when a blog gives material for several potential blogs, not necessarily printed yet.

Nice to see news from you guys!

Is your big sister a religious, now?

Dear Tom,

I'm sorry I have not responded to your lovely and heartfelt post. It means the world to me that my little verses have been of help to you. I hope they still are, and that you are well, three years later! (If you want to email, my address has not changed and I would love to hear from you.)

Hans-Georg: two years after, better late than never... I was never published; that booklet is a small, single-edition printing that I made for my fellow jam-sessioners. The big sister made her permanent vows in January 2019. I am currently with the same community as a pre-postulant, and hope to receive the habit sometime in the next year or two. Prayers appreciated!
